About Our Cards

All our cards are 100% recycled card and are 210 x 148 mm when folded (that's A4 paper size unfolded so they're quite large for greeting cards). All the cards are made from quality blanks that are 300gsm thick and they are printed using Epson printers and quality inks. Epson don't pay us to say that by the way - they're just good printers. If however you're from Epson then do get in touch to talk about sponsorship...

None of our cards are blank on the back. Many of them have information on the back about the place, country or perhaps animal that they represent. But even the cards that have no information regarding the picture do have a calendar on the back so they're still useful. When you look at the card previews you will see at least two pictures, one of which will show you what's on the back.

So, as you can see, our cards are much more than just cards, they're also useful, environmentally friendly, educational tools, postcards and they're all gorgeous!

The Cost (it’s all in)

All cards cost £3 including an envelope, taxes and of course the stamp. We actually put them into the postbox for free. Except on the 29th of February when we charge nothing for the cards but £3 to put them into the postbox.

Buying Blank Cards

If you wish you can can also buy our cards blank for you to fill out and send from home. All you need to do is write "BLANK" in all the card detail fields and we will post a blank card to the address you provide in Recipient Details. We will also provide a blank envelope for you to use, for free naturally, because we are at heart, naturally free.

Making Your Own Cards

Using this option you can select your own image to make into a card. Click "Make Your Own Cards" above and you will see a screen that look like any other card page with the exception of an additional field where you select and upload your own image for use on the card. Simply upload the image you want to use to our servers, add your personal touches, visit checkout and we'll do the rest.

We will use the font above for your card which should make reading easier for the recipient. Simply type in "Vision Impairment" at the start of the long message and we will use the font above which is the Tiresias PC Font set to size 16. The insides of all our cards are white and we print text with a black font providing the best contrast for the visually impaired.

However, do remember that due to the space available in a card this will mean that your Long Message must be restricted to 150 words or 800 characters.

This option costs nothing extra!

Personalising Your Cards

The process for personalising your cards is straightforward but to avoid any possible confusion we have come up with the guide below which should answer any queries that you have.

1- Front Cover Message (not available on all designs)

This is where you choose the wording for the front i.e. "Happy Daddy's Day Daddy!" or "Greetings from Caprica".

2 - Inside Cover Message

This is how you want to start the main message which will be seen when they open the card i.e. "Happy Christmas Scrooge!" or "Hello Fart-Face".

3 - Long Message

This is where you give them details of your adventures and this is limited to approximately 3,000 characters or roughly 500 words using our script font as shown above at size 12. The system will tell you when you have reached the 500 word limit.

Oh, and it's not obligatory by the way - you can leave this blank if you don't want to put a long message in the card.

4 - Sign Off

This is where you say "Love Lucy", "Your Smoochy Poo" or "xXxXxXx". Once that's done you add in the recipient's details, click "Add to Cart" and the job's a good 'un!
